Cadillac announced the next generation 2011 Cadillac SRX midsize luxury crossover, with a completely new design and more efficient, high-tech engine choices for 2010 North American International Auto.
"The all-new SRX crossover is a new and compelling aimed directly at the priorities of luxury buyers," said Mark McNabb, vice president of North America, Cadillac / Premium Channel. "With new technologies to increase efficiency and safety, the SRX Crossover 2011 redesign focuses on the emotional and practical aspects of luxury consumers."
2011 Cadillac SRX is designed for efficient performance, including the choice of two high-tech six-cylinder engines that are new Cadillac. A new 3.0L direct injection V6 and E85 of the graphics engine is standard and a 2.8L V6 turbo engine is optional. Both engines use technology to help produce a strong performance is characterized by a larger engine. Direct injection allows to reduce by 25 percent of hydrocarbon emissions. Fuel economy highway is expected in mid-'20s, but the test is not ready yet.
Performance and safety are reinforced by a provision of all-wheel drive (AWD) system that is designed to optimize vehicle handling and stability in all driving conditions. The AWD system incorporates an advanced electronic differential with limited slip (eLSD) that distributes torque as needed from side to side along the rear axle from the front to the rear axle. It preventive, active on-demand system provides an extra measure of ability in wet or icy conditions.

Distinctive design and craftsmanship
"Cadillac is known for bold design. The SRX Crossover 2011 builds on that reputation," said Clay Dean, global design director for Cadillac. "As with the 2008 CTS, we have made our art and science of design to create a crossover to the style-conscious consumers. The exterior features a dramatic gesture of diving in the body part to give the feel movement, even at rest. "
Modular shield grille and Cadillac's iconic vertical headlights - a light tube technology, and adaptive lighting available - were in front of the Cadillac SRX. They wrapped the body are mixed overwhelming, which narrows down the back, when the car's sporty profile, Dean said.
The Cadillac SRX is equipped with a broad approach, minimal overhangs and wheels pushed to the corners. Eighteen-inch wheels are standard 20-inch wheels are available. A line of bold accent dives all over the side of the body and results in a front fender vent that incorporates a chrome side marker lamp. An integrated spoiler on the rear edge of the roof extends its clean lines and improves aerodynamics.
An integrated center stack houses the climate controls and audio system, navigation system will increase the center of the dashboard. The example signature attention to detail of the SRX is the Cadillac Script logos front door threshold plates that illuminate when the doors are open.
Advanced technology and entertainment systems
In 2011, Cadillac SRX offers many advanced electronic features. Highlights include a "pop-up" navigation screen with 3D imaging, Adaptive Forward Lighting, which deals with the headlights in line with the vehicle; power liftgate with height adjustment, adjustable built-in hard drive for storage audio and a dual-screen rear entertainment.
Bluetooth is standard, as OnStar Turn-by-turn navigation service for buyers who do not choose the option of a car navigation system.
High-performance
The Cadillac SRX is powered by a new, fuel-efficient direct-injection V6 3.0 liter that delivers an estimated 260 hp (193 kW) and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Direct injection allows more power, better fuel economy and emissions, which will offset a smaller package. As a result, the new V6 SRX is expected to increase by 5 bhp standard output, while achieving an estimated 10 percent-Q5-improved fuel economy.
Hydra-Matic 6T70 six-speed automatic transmission saves fuel by reducing engine rpm at a steady highway speeds, when the manual control lever allows better interaction between the driver, if desired. New Cadillac SRX includes a driver-selectable "Eco" mode, which changes the transmission shift points to maximize fuel economy.
"The 2011 SRX provide an excellent and well-balanced driving dynamics in all types of weather," said Bob Reuter, global vehicle chief engineer. "All-wheel drive with electronic traction control to transfer torque effectively, not only from front to back, but also along the rear axle. This system sets a new benchmark for all-wheel drive systems, that lets the driver control and safety in all road conditions. "
Includes real-time damping suspension with AWD that adjusts shock damping rates in response to road conditions as a smooth ride.
Cadillac SRX security features are designed to protect passengers before, during and after a crash. A solid body structure and chassis to absorb the impact energy supplemented by the use of maraging steel in the rocker sections completely closed. Maraging steel is one of the strongest available and their use in rockers helps protect against intrusion during a side impact, while the structure of and behind the crash.
